Children's programs

The Friends of the Library will sponsor a free dance class on Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the library meeting room with Jean Hilton ("Miz Rosebud") in preparation for the Civil War Ball.

The Vinton County Women’s Chorus will perform a musical selection of spirituals, hymns, and popular parlor and battle songs from the American Civil War era on Sunday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church in McArthur. This concert is part of the Spring Literary Arts Festival, “North and South: A House Divided,” a commemoration of the 150^th anniversary of the American Civil War and is free to the public.

The Friends of the Library will sponsor a book sale October 17-19 in the meeting room of the library. The hours are: Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
