The library has nine workstations that can be used to access the Internet or make use of word-processing and other applications. These computers require patrons to sign up to use them during scheduled time periods.
Two 30-minute time periods may be requested, but patrons must allow a 30-minute break between each session. If there are no other patrons requesting use of a computer that is being used by someone, that patron may continue to use the computer. However, if another patron has requested use of that computer at that time, then the patron currently using the computer must complete his or her session, until his or her second 30-minute session becomes available.
Three computers are located downstairs in the children’s department and six computers are located upstairs. Patrons wishing to use the Internet must have signed a "Use of the Internet Agreement" (see attachment below).
One workstation has been dedicated solely for job seekers. Patrons are able to access the Ohio Means Jobs website from this computer.
Throughout the year, computer classes will periodically be offered to the general public. Please ask a member of the library staff to explain what classes may be available.
Computers classes are currently being offered at the Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library through Connect Ohio by Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio. For information or to sign up, please call 740-702-4000, ext. 20.
